The new academy opened its doors to its first pupils in September 2009.
Where is the academy?
Manchester Enterprise Academy is based in a brand new state of the art building.
It is situated on Simonsway in Wythenshawe, near to Junction 4 of the M56.
Why is it different to a normal secondary school?
Manchester Enterprise Academy pupils study the same essential building blocks of education, of english and mathematics, but the big difference is the personalised learning programme and the extensive links to business and the local community allowing students to fulfil their true potential.
Is it free to attend?
Yes, Manchester Enterprise Academy is free to attend despite being independent. The ethos and drive for the school are being delivered by a partnership between teaching staff, students, parents, business and the local community.
