MEA Achieves prestigious Award

Manchester Enterprise Academy is pleased and proud to announce that it has received the highly prestigious Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA).
The Leading Parent Partnership Award is a national award that provides a coherent framework and assesses if and how educational organisations are delivering effective parental engagement from early years to post-16.
Earlier this year a Verifier from LPPA, Andy Taylor quizzed one of our Vice Principals, Teresa Johnson, staff, parents and Governors about our links with families. He was so impressed he stated that
“we were the best secondary school he has seen and we had too many strengths to be able to mention them all in the report.”
Here is a taste of some of those strengths:
- Parents feel valued and their suggestions / views are used effectively. They are very proud of their school and praised the work of the staff. One parent stated,
“they [the staff] just care."
- The induction procedures are excellent with a commitment to engage with parents from the feeder primary schools.
- The school has very effective links with external agencies.
- Communication is excellent and the quality of information shared is of a high quality.
- The LPPA framework has been used very effectively as a diagnostic tool.
- The school has been very successful in recruiting parents to the Family Learning events.
Receiving the Leading Parent Partnership Award recognises that MEA’s work with families has been one of our core principles and that relationships are extremely strong. The award also serves to recognise the hard work of the staff in developing positive relationships with families.
LPPA Award is a challenging but useful framework for schools committed to working with and investing in parents/carers for the achievement of their children and helps to strengthen and enhance relationships. It consists of 10 areas that must be achieved and evidenced.
This award is valid for 3 years.
