Open Evening Extravaganza
Our Open Evening, on 6th October, transported our guests to some very interesting places . . .
First stop was the 'check-in' desk, highlighting that MEA offers some special courses - available no-where else and our special links with Manchester Airport. Then parents and children were taken through safety procedures by our trainee Cabin Crew before setting off for some out of this world (and time) destinations.

The Manchester United Foundation were on the top floor to test out footy skills. (Don't forget our Family Fun Day on Saturday 15th for another chance to show off your goal scoring skills).
There was a warm welcome to the Humanities Faculty area
but watch out - there's Romans about!
For those who managed to keep on the right side of the Romans, more danger was let loose in the Science Faculty:a dead body had been found –
Our CSI team, helped by some of our visitors, undertook scientific investigations and quickly began to piece together what had happened.
After all that excitement our Pilot was on hand to introduce guests to the Maths Faculty where they were able to get some hands on experience our new technology.
TheEnglish Faculty was transformed into Roald Dahl's Chocolate Factory with Oompa-Loompas and lots and lots of sweets. The chocolate fountain and Candy Floss machine proved very popular . . .
This is just a small sample of the evening. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Don't forget
your application must be received by Manchester City Council by 5pm on October 14th 2011.
If you don't want to fill in the form online or on your own – simply call into our reception and we'll give you all the help you might need.
Many, many thanks to all our staff and students who helped to make this an extra special evening. Particular thanks go to the nationally acclaimed chef Tim Wood who turned our own MEA grown produce into wonderful warming soup and nibbles and of course our very own team of cooks in Helen Dyers team who ensured everyone had a great dinner.
Take a fresh look at Wythenshawe's most improved school.
