If you have a concern

If you have a problem or concern, the following might be helpful – it is sometimes difficult in a large school to get the right person at the right level. For this reason, we have a system if you have a problem or concern.

STEP ONE

Contact your child’s Student Culture Manager if you have a general concern about your child.

STEP TWO

Contact the Curriculum Leader if you have a concern about your child’s learning in a particular subject. Please contact the Academy for the name of the Curriculum Leader or to leave a message.

STEP THREE

Contact the Assistant Vice Principal, Ms E Neary for Year 7 and Year 8, Mr C Doody for Year 9 or Ms J Eastwood for and Year 10 and Year 11. Vice Principal, Mrs A Cowan if you have not been able to successfully resolve a problem.

Please be aware, when contacting the school that most staff will be teaching between the hours of 8:40am and 3:05pm and often attend meetings until 4:30pm. While staff will endeavour to answer queries from parents/carers, it is sometimes not possible to do so until after this time. All staff are asked to respond to queries within 48 hours and do their best to meet that expectation.

The school office can help with general equiries including; free school meals, change of contact details, updating medical information, Arbor and MYEd.

Telephone: 0161 499 2726       Email: admin@meacad.org.uk
