Progress Exams Timetable

Year 11 Progress Exams which will run for two weeks from the week commencing Monday 7th December. This has also been posted on Microsoft Teams for students to access.

It is essential that students create a revision timetable to support them with studying in the build up. This is something students have been informed and guided to do in the Academy and over Zoom if students have been isolating. Please support us by ensuring students complete regular independent study in preparation for these exams. The work they are set will require them to retrieve essential knowledge for their exam courses to fully prepare them for their progress exams, and final exams in the Spring.

Further to the revision guides students received in Year 10, students also have access to several online learning platforms such as GCSE Pod and Hegarty Maths.  There is now a wealth of resources and learning material on every students’ Teams accounts. Students have been shown how to access their work and should do so every day to support with their independent study or in the scenario of having to isolate.

Finally, just a reminder that you can check what independent study has been set for your child and whether they have completed it at any time, by logging on to ClassCharts with your unique login code.

It has never been more competitive to secure the ‘Standard’ pass of a Grade 4, and a ‘high’ pass of a grade 5. These are the minimum grades that future colleges and employers are looking for in students leaving school. We are doing everything we can in school to support your child to get the best grades they can and we ask that you support us with this by strongly encouraging them to complete their independent study and utilising their revision guides and other resources available to them.

We are committed to doing all we can to ensure a fantastic future for all.
