We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Eddy Newman, to MEA in January to ‘cut the ribbon’ and officially open our new full-size all weather pitch. Guests included representatives from the RFU, the Altius Trust Board and local primary schools. Year 7 and 9 MEA students were great ambassadors during the visit too and took part in the tour of the pitch, sports facilities and new Durie Building alongside our visitors.
