MEA Proud
In line with our vision of a Fantastic Future for All we believe it is important for young people to take pride in their uniform and learn how to present themselves professionally, both in the way they dress and behave, to prepare themselves for a future in the professional world.
Students must dress in the correct uniform, at all times, as determined by MEA’s Behaviour for Learning Policy.
To ensure absolute clarity for both parents and students, the detailed Uniform Policy and Tie Guide found on the side column explain our uniform requirements and expectations.
A list of MEA approved shoes is available at Wynsors Shoe Shop in Wythenshawe and is also detailed below.
Each MEA year group has their own distinct tie. Parents can purchase ties via Arbor for £5. Ties for the current academic year (2025-26) are shown below.
2026-27 Ties

Plain black logo-free trousers or shorts, suitable for sport. This is compulsory.
Plain black logo-free top, suitable for sport. This is compulsory.
Plain black sports socks. These are compulsory.
Trainers suitable for sport. These are compulsory.
Black base layers. These are optional.
Summer Uniform
Students are expected to wear the same uniform during the summer term, with the exception of changing tights for black ankle socks if preferred.

Much-loved MEA Uniform
We very much welcome donations of used or out-grown MEA uniform and PE Kit.
