Starting Year 7 at MEA
We know moving to secondary school is a big step. Our transition programme is designed to help every student feel supported, excited, and ready to move into Year 7. We work closely with your child's Primary School teachers during KS2 to ensure a smooth transition to MEA.
What to Expect:
- We keep parents/carers informed throughout the transition process with regular communication.
- July Transition Evening: A key date for new students to visit MEA and meet the Year 7 Team.

This is an opportunity for Year 6 students and their parents to visit the school, meet the Year 7 Team and fellow prospective students, and have questions answered. We are excited to welcome everyone to MEA!
Wednesday 3rd September 2025
This is your child's first official day at secondary school! Please ensure they arrive at 8:30am in full school uniform, ready to start their journey at MEA. Form time begins at 8:45am. A free breakfast is available to all students from 7:40am-8:20am.
