Starting Year 7 at MEA
We know moving to secondary school is a big step. Our transition programme is designed to help every student feel supported, excited, and ready to move into Year 7. We work closely with your child's primary school teachers during KS2 to ensure a smooth transition to MEA.
What to Expect:
- We keep parents/carers informed throughout the transition process with regular communication.
- July Transition Evening: A key date for new students to visit MEA and meet the Year 7 Team.

Thursday 2nd July 2026
This is an opportunity for Year 6 students to visit the school, meet the Year 7 Team and fellow prospective students, and attend taster lessons with their form group. We are excited to welcome everyone to MEA!
Parents and carers are invited to join us at MEA in the evening for a welcome assembly, to meet your child's Form Tutor and to ask any questions you may have.
Wednesday 2nd September 2026 1:30-3:00 PM
All Year 7 students will have their first day at MEA on Wednesday 2nd September 2025 at 1:30pm for an Induction Afternoon. Year 7 students will start as normal at 8:45am on Thursday 3rd September 2025.
